Little Village is like a foodbank, but for clothes, toys and equipment for babies and children up to the age of 5. Since Little Village launched in 2016, it’s grown to be one of the largest ‘baby banks’ in the UK. It has supported over 8,000 visits from families across London and saw nearly 3,000 children in 2019. Families are referred to the organisation via a network of professionals such as midwives and social workers from over 500 organisations. As a volunteer-led movement of parents committed to alleviating child poverty, Little Village’s vision is that every child in the capital has the essential items they need to thrive.
